A clear brief makes a stronger campaign plan.

Bring your business objective, audience and creative assets together before choosing inventory. Use this guide to prepare a conversation about reach, qualified traffic, app acquisition or customer actions.

Start with one primary objective

A campaign can produce several signals, but one primary outcome should guide the first review. Choose an event you can measure consistently and explain what makes that event valuable to your business.

Brand awareness

Define the intended audience, message and exposure. Review delivered impressions, measurable viewability, reach where available and frequency together. A large impression count alone does not tell you whether the right audience paid attention.

Qualified visits

Specify the landing page and the next useful action, such as viewing a product or requesting information. Review clicks alongside landing-page engagement and source quality, rather than treating every inexpensive visit as equivalent.

Leads & purchases

Define a valid enquiry, completed order or other conversion. Agree duplicate handling, attribution and the treatment of cancellations. Review cost per qualified action and the value of those actions after conversion data has settled.

App acquisition

Identify the store listing, supported countries and measurement partner. Separate installs from useful activity such as registration or a first completed task. Confirm the events and reporting access available for your app environment.

Describe the audience in usable terms

Useful audience descriptions combine geography, language, device context and a relevant need. “People in the UK researching home improvements on mobile” gives a planning team more to work with than “everyone interested in shopping.”

  • Market: name countries, languages and any regional restrictions.
  • Context: explain the content, app activity or browsing situation that makes the message relevant.
  • Device: identify the experience your landing page or app actually supports.
  • Exclusions: list unavailable markets, existing-customer rules and unsuitable content environments.
  • Data: describe permitted audience inputs at a high level. Confirm any data-sharing arrangement through the account team before transferring identifiers.

Keep the first test interpretable. Adding many restrictions at once can leave too little eligible inventory to understand what is working. Availability is reviewed for the proposed account and supply.

Prepare for a controlled first launch

  1. Brief and review

Share the objective, markets, website or app, assets and indicative budget. Resolve missing information before agreeing the plan.

  2. Measurement agreement

Choose the primary event, reporting source, currency, time zone and attribution window. Define what will trigger a pause or further investigation.

  3. Creative and destination checks

Confirm approvals, destination behavior, mobile usability and consent handling in the approved environment.

  4. Test and compare

Review delivery, tracking and source quality first. Compare creative or audience variants using a consistent definition and enough observations for a useful decision.

  5. Plan the next change

Record the reasoning for a budget, source or creative change. Check its effect before introducing several more changes.

Questions to settle before funding an account

  • What inventory, markets and formats are included in this proposal?
  • Which costs, account minimums, payment and refund conditions apply?
  • Who approves creative changes and campaign activation?
  • Which report is the agreed delivery and billing reference?
  • How will invalid traffic, discrepancies and support issues be reviewed?

The website enquiry creates a saved reference for a conversation. Platform access, campaign activation and commercial terms are arranged separately. See published billing guidance and measurement definitions.
